Ireland's US-based Davis Cup captain Peter Wright has urged his players to disregard world rankings before tomorrow's Davis Cup Euro-African Zone Group II clash with Slovenia at Riverview.
The Slovenia players named to play singles against Ireland's Scott Barron and Owen Casey have much higher ATP rankings - albeit in the 200s and 300s - but Wright hoped it would count for little. Wright said he hoped his team would rise to the challenge.
Ireland's women had their third win from three games in defeating Algeria 3-0 in the Federation Cup Euro-African group II match yesterday, and tomorrow take on unbeaten Turkey to determine who will be promoted to group I.
