Limerick SFC final/Drom-Broadford 1-7 Newcastle West 0-3: Defending champions Drom-Broadford had a comfortable win over Newcastle West in the Limerick football championship replay, but it took a 50th-minute goal from Jason Stokes to give them the breathing space they had sought at the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday.

Drom-Broadford were first off the mark with points from Seán Buckley and Michael Reidy, but Seán Cronin and Stephen Kelly scored for Newcastle to level.

Neil Conway and Buckley saw that Drom were ahead at the break and Ben Noonan and Reidy extended their advantage. Stephen Kelly pulled one back but Stokes's goal settled the issue.
