UEFA Cup quarter-finals, second leg/Olympique Marseille 1 Inter Milan 0: A superb solo goal in the 74th minute by Camel Meriem gave Olympique Marseille a 1-0 win over Inter Milan in their UEFA Cup quarter-final, second leg last night.

Marseille's 2-0 aggregate victory - after they had won the first leg 1-0 - leaves Italy without a representative in the semi-finals of either of the two European club competitions.

Valencia eased their way into the last four of the UEFA Cup after second-half goals from Mauricio Pellegrino and Francisco Rufete secured a 2-1 win at home to Girondins Bordeaux last night.

The comfortable 4-2 aggregate victory means that the Primera Liga leaders will meet regional rivals Villarreal in an all-Spanish semi-final.

"The punishment relates to a charge made against him of abusive and/or insulting words to a match official following an incident during the match at Sheffield United on March 2nd, 2004," the FA said in a statement.
