Capacity entries of 130 cars (260 between driver and co-driver plus back-up/service crews) for rallying events continues unabated. The massive interest has guaranteed a full turn out for Sunday's Crosbie Cedars Hotel event run out of Rosslare by the Co Wexford Motor Club.

There will be three runs over a 10-mile closed road stage in the Newbawn area of South-West Wexford. Clerk of The Course Des Byrne, assisted by Sean Gaul, adds a new challenge with the final runs taking place in darkness. Central service will be in Ballinaboola.

David James (Gorey) who finished fourth in last month's Wexford stage event, heads the entry in his Ford Escort BDX with co-driver Ron Guha, followed by fellow Wexford driver Willie Carroll with Jason Mernagh in the hot seat of his Escort Cosworth.

Kilkenny crew Willie O'Dwyer and Andrew Purcell are seeded number three in a Metro 6R4. John Nolan (Carlow) is number four seed and Jimmy Lambert (Tipperary) number five, both in Escorts.

Co Wexford crews make up over a third of the entry and include Liam Wall, James M. Stafford, Shay and Bea White, James Kent and P J O'Farrell.

Waterford is well represented by Colm Doyle (seeded ninth in a Subaru Impreza) and the Escort trio of Eamonn Murphy, John Redmond and Sean Ryan.

As well as Jimmy Lambert, Tipperary drivers in the top 10 seeds are Kieran Molloy in a Mitsubishi Lancer and David Percy in an Escort.

Along with Willie O'Dwyer, Kilkenny has Pat Bolger, James Travers, Pat Croke and John Brennan.

The Carlow contingent includes John Hennessy, Jason Dooley and Emmet Watchorn. Dave Slattery, Robert Moran, Donal O'Connor and Brian Duggan travel from Kerry to the South East for this the last rally of 2001.

The strong Ulster challenge includes Philip Shaw (Fermanagh), Ollie O'Reilly (Cavan), Paddy O'Reilly and Noel O'Reilly (Monaghan).
