John Treacy: Chief Executive, Irish Sports Council - "It would be hard to beat Sonia O'Sullivan's performance in Sydney. I was lucky enough to be there and it was simply heart-stopping. So many people got great pleasure out of her silver medal and after being to two Olympics and coming away with nothing, it was her finest hour. An Olympic medal is the ultimate prize for every track and field athlete. But in fairness to our Paralympic team, they also did exceptionally well. I have this vision of Tom Leahy coming off the track after the discus, and him thinking he got silver and then getting the gold. The joy on his face will always stay in my head. I would have to mention DJ Carey as well. His performance in the All-Ireland hurling final was outstanding. The whole team played brilliantly but DJ played like a man possessed."
