CRICKET: Injured England paceman Simon Jones has been ruled out of the rest of the three-Test series with India. A statement from the England cricket board said Jones underwent an arthroscopy last Friday after sustaining an injury to his left knee before the first Test in Nagpur.
The second Test starts on Thursday. The one-day series will be played from March 28th to April 15th.
The news is the latest injury setback for the 27-year-old Glamorgan man and adds to the touring party's woes.
Captain Michael Vaughan has already been ruled out of the series after the recurrence of a knee problem and vice-captain Marcus Trescothick returned home for personal reasons.
