Motor Sport: Jordan have denied approaching McLaren's David Coulthard about a deal for 2002 and insist they are happy with the current line-up of Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jarno Trulli.

"In response to various reports claiming that Jordan is talking to David Coulthard about joining the team, Jordan Grand Prix would like to state categorically that this is untrue and is based upon rumours without substance," said a team statement.

Coulthard, whose contract with McLaren is up at the end of the season, is just four points behind Ferrari's reigning champion Michael Schumacher - with 11 races still left - following his victory in Austria last Sunday.

He has now failed to progress beyond the second round of any of the six tournaments he has played since defeating Andre Agassi to win the Sybase Open in San Jose in March.

Rusedski's defeat ends British interest in the competition, as number one Tim Henman suffered a shock exit to German wildcard Lars Burgsmuller in the first round on Monday.

Rugby: Premiership champions Leicester yesterday made their biggest signing of rugby union's professional era - New Zealand All Black Josh Kronfeld.

The 54 times capped openside flanker has agreed a two-year contract at Welford Road.

His arrival creates a fascinating scenario for next term given that Leicester's current openside flanker is England and Lions star Neil Back.

Leicester have also been linked with another major overseas import, Australian centre Rod Kafer as replacement for his fellow Wallaby Pat Howard.
