Charlesland junior members had cause to celebrate last week when they won the club's first Leinster title with a two-hole success over Forrest Little in the final of the Smurfit-sponsored Junior Foursomes at Seapoint. In a keenly contested final, little separated the sides until Eoghan Nunam and Patrick Boyle made a spectacular birdie four at the 18th for a one-hole win. In the second match, Mark Flynn holed a crucial five-footer for the half at 17 to ensure a one-hole victory for himself and partner Alan Fahy. The victory is a fine reward for the hours of practice put in by the panel which also included Darragh Flynn, Jamie Medcalfe and Stephen Rigley. The team will now represent Leinster in the All-Ireland finals.
