Michael Hourigan can do no wrong at present, and the Patrickswell trainer teamed up his son Paul to collect the opening handicap hurdle at Cork yesterday with top-weight Just our Job.

Just Our Job struck the front before two out to score by a head from Cronin's Boy and could well be up to bagging a decent prize ver flights, according to his trainer. The Limerick father and son cam then went on to complete a double as Mr Red Banner spreadeagled the opposition when triumphing by five and a half lengths from Change The Script n the three-mile handicap hurdle.

Last season's Aintree bumper winner, Quadco, simply annihilated his 20 rivals when coasting home by 25 lengths in the two-mile maiden hurdle under Garett Cotter. In all probability, the Pat Fahy-trained Quadco will now take in the Royal Bond Novle Hurdle at Fairyhouse in two weeks' time.

Cotter was completing a double, as he had earlier guided the odds-on Be My Royal to a comprehensive success in the three-mile novice hurdle. Trainer Willie Mullins was absent but it understood that Be My Royal, who races in the Florida Pearl colours of Mrs Violet O'Leary, will be aimed at some of the top novice hurdles.
