Feyenoord wreaked revenge on Juventus in Rotterdam last night, beating them 20 and virtually handing Manchester United a Champions' League quarter-final place on a plate. Juventus, with two defeats in group B, may now struggle to earn one of the two best runner-up spots on offer.

Argentine Julio Cruz was Feyenoord's hero. The 23-year-old scored both goals in the second half to avenge a humiliating 5-1 defeat suffered by the Dutch side in Turin in September.

It was a hammer blow for Juventus, as it means that Manchester United now only need a draw against Kosice at Old Trafford on Thursday night to be sure of qualifying for the last eight.

Feyenoord, unrecognisable two months on, fought for every ball and never allowed the 1996 European champions to get into their stride. The Dutch club were also rewarded for taking two of the very few chances which came their way.

Young French international Thierry Henry scored twice in the final 16 minutes as Monaco rallied for a 3-2 group F victory over Sporting Lisbon. Henry got the winner in the final minute as French champions Monaco fought back from two goals down.

Sporting, out of quarter-final contention, led through goals from Luis Miguel (31st) and Coceano (38th, penalty) before Jean Tigana's team began their fight-back.

David Trezeguet pulled one goal back with a 66th-minute header and Henry then scored with shots in the 75th and 90th minutes as Monaco recorded their fourth win in five Champions League matches.

Paris Saint Germain scored a late goal to beat Gothenburg 1-0 in group E match and kept alive their hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals. Defender Eric Rabesandratana scored with a close-range header after a fine cross from Franck Gava.
