See More Business, the winner of the Pertemps King George VI Chase at Christmas on his latest start, is set to reappear in the Pillar Property Investments Chase over three miles one and a half furlongs at Cheltenham on Saturday.

"He's fit and well and hopefully he will run at Cheltenham," said the gelding's trainer Paul Nicholls.

Following his victory at Kempton Park, when he ran on resolutely to hold the reluctant Challenger du Luc by two lengths, Paul Nicholls's eight-year-old earned himself a quote of 12 to 1 with Ladbrokes for the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup.

"He won the big race at Kempton on Boxing Day and that was nice but now we are gearing up for the Festival," added Nicholls.

"I want to get a run into him round Cheltenham so he can have a look at the course.

"I just hope the ground doesn't dry up as it is a very dry forecast."

Challenger du Luc also figures among the entries for Saturday's race as does Rough Quest who was 10 lengths back in third in the King George and reported in "good form" by trainer Terry Casey.

Barton Bank, beaten a head by One Man in last year's Pillar Chase but a well beaten sixth behind See More Business last time, is also set to go to post.

Addington Boy, a late withdrawal from last season's Gold Cup due to a minor leg injury, could line-up on Saturday as trainer Gordon Richards has said his charge is "ready to run".

Pillar entries Callisoe Bay, Challenger du Luc and Senor El Betrutti - pulled up in the King George - have also been put in the Ladbroke Trophy Chase over two miles and five furlongs on the same card.

New "showcase races", designed to boost off-course betting turnover, will be staged every week day of the year from the start of the British Flat turf season, it was announced yesterday.

They will be worth at least £10,000 on the Flat and over fences and £7,500 over hurdles. The Tote, and bookmakers Coral, Ladbroke, William Hill and Stanley Leisure under the "49s" banner, will sponsor 120 of the 265 showcase races planned for 1998, investing £425,000 in total.
