Noelle Kennedy's crucial goal midway through the second half set Tipperary on their way to a deserved victory over Galway in an entertaining second senior camogie semi-final at Parnell Park.

The teams were level at 1-8 apiece when Galway 'keeper Fiona Gothery could only parry Kennedy's effort from a 55-yard free into the net.

That goal visibly took the wind from the Galway sails and further second-half points from substitute Clare Grogan, top scorer Kennedy and Phil Fogarty saw a very fit Tipperary team safely home.

Earlier, Galway hopes were raised when Sharon Glynn's persistence set up an expertly-executed goal from Ann Forde and Glynn added a pointed-free to leave the sides level, 1-7 each at the interval.
