In the Division Two decider a superb late goal from Diarmuid Murtagh proved the difference in a 1-20 to 0-22 win for Roscommon over Galway.
Celtic opened up a significant six-point gap over Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 2-1 comeback win at Ibrox. Gers' on-loan midfielder Aaron Ramsey scored just three minutes into his first Old Firm game with a close-range finish, but Hoops midfielder Tom Rogic levelled four minutes later and defender Cameron Carter-Vickers grabbed the winner just before the interval. Ireland's Matt Doherty scored as Spurs moved into top four with a 5-1 win over Newcastle, and in Sunday's other Premier League clash West Ham beat Everton 2-1.
Blackrock College claimed a 70th Leinster Schools Senior Cup title and one that will stand favourable comparison with the most memorable they've racked up down through the years - a 50-21 win over Gonzaga College at the RDS. Leinster are likely to restore Johnny Sexton to their team for next weekend's Champions Cup clash with Connacht, while Andrew Porter, Ronan Kelleher and James Ryan are all not far away from a return.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods has announced he will practice at Augusta before deciding whether to compete at next week's Masters. Woods has not played in a top-level event since being involved in a horrific car crash in February 2021.
