Longford only trailed by a point at the break, 0-7 to 1-3, thanks to a goal from Ciarán Finnucane. Kerry dominance grew, however, as centre-half forward Shane Brick finished with nine points to his credit.

KERRY captain Barry O'Shea's was carried off when playing for Kerins O'Rahilly's, against Austin Stacks, in the Tralee Championship final yesterday. O'Shea picked up a thigh injury in the 56th minute.
