Tipperary 0-6 Kerry 0-12:KERRY POWERED to an emphatic success over Tipperary in yesterday's Munster MFC final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Tipperary entered this game full of confidence following their semi-final win over Cork, but they were unable to replicate that performance against dominant Kerry.

Kerry led 0-8 to 0-1 at the interval with their defence, marshalled superbly by Phillip Galvin, Danny Wren and James Coffey, in control. They led 0-3 to 0-1 after the opening quarter, largely reliant on Eanna O’Connor’s freetaking to put them ahead. But with Jack Sherwood, Shane Carroll and Damien Kelly all finding their range, Kerry were seven points ahead at the midway mark.

Tipperary’s Thomas Hill and Liam Treacy kicked early scores, to cut the deficit to 0-8 to 0-3. Paddy Dalton, Graham Quinn and Gerard Mulhair all impressed in Tipperary’s defence but their forwards struggled to make headway.
