Kerry will be short several key players for their match against Leinster champions, Offaly, whom they meet in Tullamore on Sunday. Missing from their first-choice line-up will be Maurice Fitzgerald, William Kirby, Dara O Cinneide, Billy O'Shea, Tomas O'Shea and the Laune Rangers players Liam and Mike Hassett and Mike Francis Russell. Sligo have made two changes in their side to face Monaghan in Markievicz Park on Sunday from the defeat by Tyrone in Omagh. They have called up Mark Cosgrove at left corner back and recalled Dermot Kevany at midfield.

Left out are David Durcan and Ken Killeen. Sligo started off with a shock home win over Dublin and Monaghan can scarcely be looking forward to visiting there next weekend. Tyrone are still unsure about when they may be able to call on Peter and Pascal Canavan, who have not yet returned to the squad despite their club, Errigal Ciaran's, defeat in the Ulster Club Championship final.

In the meantime Brian Dooher, who also missed the Sligo match through injury, is still not fully fit although he may be included among the substitutes for Sunday's match against Cavan in Breffni Park.
