Kerry wasteful in first half but devastating in second

VS - Munster Intercounty SF final - Kerry ... 1-13 Cork ... 1-8: Kerry retained their Munster title with a power-packed second-half display at Fitzgerald Stadium on Saturday. Kerry had 12 wides in the first half but still led 0-6 to 0-4 at the half-time break.

The home side added three points inside the first five minutes of the second half, but Cork struck for a goal when a Kerry defender dropped a high ball and Kevin O'Sullivan drilled in a low drive. In reply Jerry Houlihan split the Cork defence with a dazzling run and passed to Michael Bowler who blasted the ball to the Cork net.
