FIVE fixture weekends are left until the Leinster Senior League title can be claimed and Loreto are giving Muckross a run for their money. Muckross have a two point lead, with a game in hand, but given the fact that Loreto have not lost a league match since the two teams met at the beginning of the season, Muckross cannot afford to drop any points.

They are unlikely to lose ground tomorrow, however, as they take on bottom placed Clontarf, whereas Loreto face a tough battle against Railway Union.

Railway have refound their earlier good form and may seriously damage Loreto's prospects of mounting a serious challenge.

Away from the Leinster League, the Junior interprovincial Championship is being played in Limerick this weekend. Unlike the senior interprovincials, there are five districts in the championship.
