Kilkenny must overcome Galway in this Sunday's All-Ireland minor hurling semi-final to have a chance of becoming the county with the most titles at this level. Kilkenny, Cork and Tipperary have 16 titles apiece - and Cork qualified for this year's final by beating Wexford last Sunday.

A shoulder injury sustained this week in training by full forward Kieran Rafter may force Kilkenny to replace him. Eddie Walsh, Dermot Walsh and David Dowling are on standby.

The county will be making their ninth successive appearance at the semi-final stage and attackers Kevin Power and Paul Sheehan have figured in their Leinster championship-winning teams since 1996. Noel Hickey, John Morgan and Joey Murray were also in last year's team. Galway, winners of three titles, show one change from the side that knocked out All-Ireland standard bearers Clare last Sunday week. Kevin Brady replaces Ronan Leonard at midfield. Among some positional switches in attack, Keith Hayes moves from centre forward to full forward.

Hayes is one of five survivors from last years year's team. The others are goalkeeper Ciaran Callanan, full back Diarmuid Cloonan and forwards David Donoghue and Cathal Coen.
