A late point by top scorer Ollie O'Connor earned Kilkenny a drawagainst Cork in the All-Ireland intermediate hurling championship semi-final at Dungarvan on Saturday afternoon. Cork led 0-9 to 0-4 at half-time. Kilkenny were back on level terms seven minutes into the second half when O'Connor shot 1-2 without reply. His team went ahead for the first time within a minute when Dermot Maher pointed.

Cork regained the lead briefly before O'Connor pointed a free in the 48th minute to tie the scores at 0-11 to 1-8. However, Cork's Timmy McCarthy looked to have booked his side's place in the final against Galway when he sent over an excellent last minute point.

But it was O'Connor who had the final score of the game two minutes into injury time to force a replay.
