LEINSTER COLLEGES SHC A: Dublin North 1-13 Kilkenny CBS 1-11 (After extra-time):A GOAL deep into injury-time after extra-time helped Dublin North claim the scalp of Kilkenny CBS in the Leinster senior hurling A colleges quarter-finals yesterday.
Ironically, a player called Kilkenny did for the Cats. Full forward Ciarán Kilkenny grabbed the goal for the Metropolitans when he latched on to a loose ball and flicked it past netminder Brian Cantwell for the vital score after 82 minutes in Ratheniska.
Backed by the free-taking of Paul Winters, who contributed a dozen points from placed balls, Dublin managed to turn a four-point half-time deficit (1-5 to 0-4) around.
