CAMOGIE/NATIONAL LEAGUE FINAL:KILKENNY WERE crowned Division One champions for a 10th time following Saturday's thrilling 3-11 to 0-17 final victory against Galway at Nowlan Park.
The goals proved crucial for the winners, who trailed against Liam Donoghue's Galway by 0-11 to 1-5 at half-time.
Galway were heading for a comfortable half-time advantage but Aoife Neary struck for a goal just before the break to haul Kilkenny back into contention.
The sides were level at the three-quarter point before two goals in three minutes from Michelle Quilty and Edwina Keane sent Kilkenny into the comfort zone and on their way to a first Division One title since 1993.
Galway, chasing a first league final victory since 2005, had superb performances from Jessica Gill, who landed 0-8, and Veronica Curtin, who chipped in with five points.
Meanwhile, Clare beat Derry 4-8 to 3-9 in Saturday's Division Two decider at St Peregrine's in Blanchardstown.
Clare led 2-6 to 1-5 at half-time and although substitute Oonagh Mullan bagged a second-half brace of goals for Derry, the Munster side held on for victory.
Clare had big performances from Sharon O'Loughlin, sister of ex-Clare hurler Ger "Sparrow" O'Loughlin, Fiona Lafferty and substitute Laura Linnane. O'Loughlin scored 2-1, including a goal in each half, while Lafferty and Linnane struck 1-1 each.
In the replayed Division Three decider, Antrim defeated Offaly 6-11 to 3-7. Antrim led 5-3 to 3-7 at half-time and only managed to pull away from their opposition with a late scoring blitz. Gráinne Connolly, Clare Laverty and Sharon Graham each scored 2-1 for Antrim. Top scorer Michelle Davis hit 1-5 for Offaly.
