LIMERICK SHC SEMI-FINALS:2010 CHAMPIONS Kilmallock and 2009 winners Adare will meet in this season's decider after both showed strong form in their respective semi-finals at the weekend.
Kilmallock dumped the holders and Munster champions, Na Piarsaigh, out of the championship on Sunday after an epic 4-24 to 4-13 victory at the Gaelic Grounds.
Graeme Mulcahy was the Kilmallock hero and he scored 3-3 in a game that produced three goals inside the first three minutes.
Na Piarsaigh led by two points, 3-9 to 2-10 at half time, but 1-4 inside three minutes on the resumption sent the Tony Considine managed Kilmallock on their way to the final.
In the other semi-final, the Ger “Sparrow” O’Loughlin-managed Adare recorded a 1-19 to 0-12 win over Garryspillane.
Adare led 1-13 to 0-6 at the interval with the goal being scored by Donnacha Sheehan after six minutes. Willie Griffin scored 0-8 for the winners, four of them from frees while John Fitzgibbon had a superb all-round game, scoring five points from play.
