MICHAEL KINANE takes over on the unbeaten French colt, Ashkalani, in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday after regular rider Gerald Mosse's four day ban was confirmed in Paris yesterday.
Mosse made his appeal at the Parisian headquarters of France Galop, but it was always on the cards that the ban picked up at Chantilly last Sunday would fail.
Mosse's ban runs from June 18th to June 21st. Ashkalani, unbeaten in four starts including last month's French 2000 Guineas, showed his well being by doing a good piece of work at Chantilly on Thursday morning.
Kinane is also likely to come in for some of Frankie Dettori's rides following the champion jockey's elbow injury.
