Japan:Japan's World Cup hopes were boosted when coach John Kirwan named "samurai trio" Daisuke Ohata, Takuro Miuchi and Phil O'Reilly in his 30-man squad.

Kirwan has called for his side to show more killer instinct or risk humiliation after finishing bottom of the Pacific Nations Cup in June.

Ohata has traditionally been Japan's best source of tries, having scored a world-record 69, last year surpassing the previous best of 64, held by David Campese.
