Kissogram can continue where she left off last season with victory in the Group Three Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown tonight. Luca Cumani's mare only made her racecourse debut last June but quickly made up for lost time.
She won three of her four starts and was most impressive on her last run at Newmarket in October. Contesting the Group Two Sun Chariot Stakes, Kissogram dealt out a comprehensive beating to four rivals, slamming Arriving by seven lengths.
The filly's only defeat came in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood in August but Cumani admitted that he should not have run her as she was not experienced enough, having had just one run when successful in a Yarmouth maiden.
After Goodwood, Kissogram put up a commanding performance in beating Akarita by six lengths in a Listed race over a mile at today's course.
Mick Channon sent out the ill-fated Bint Allayl to win the National Stakes 12 months ago and can repeat the trick with Rowaasi. Just like her former stablemate, Rowaasi was beaten on her only previous start but it was a defeat full of promise for she went down by only a length to Gipsy Anna at Newbury.
Lionhearted has had the misfortune to come across smart sprinters Sampower Star and Vision of Night in his last two races after winning a maiden at Newmarket in April. The John Gosden-trained colt can return to winning ways in the Beacon Bitter Conditions Stakes at Leicester.
Pythios was tailed off on his only start as a two-year-old but put that dismal display behind him when tongue tied for the first time at Doncaster four weeks ago.
Up with the pace from the outset, he went one and a quarter lengths clear of Siege to score in good style. The runner-up has already franked the form by winning his next race and Henry Cecil's charge can follow suit in the Tiger Best Bitter Conditions Stakes.
The Tatling put up a good first effort when third to the more experienced Dont Be Mad at Newmarket. Michael Bell's colt looks a solid choice for the Tiger Triple Gold Median Auction Maiden.
