Golf:The Ladies' European Tour have confirmed that Killeen Castle will again host the AIB Ladies Irish Open after announcing their schedule for 2012.

The Co Meath venue, host course to this year’s Solheim Cup, will stage the event for a third time from August 3rd to 5th.

Norway’s Suzann Pettersen fired a course-record 63 on her way to winning this year’s event at the beginning of August. She then went on to play a starring role in September’s Solheim Cup win over the United States.

Another European Solheim Cup hero, Sweden’s Sophie Gustafson, won the inaugural Irish Open at Killeen Castle in 2010.
