Oh dear, Stephen Larkham can see clearly now. He underwent laser surgery on his eyes the week before last to correct vision that was so blurred he couldn't clearly make out the posts when he landed that famous semi-final winning, extra-time drop goal against the Springboks in the 1999 World Cup. Which may partly explain why it's his only one in senior rugby.
Unable to wear contact lenses due to irritation, Larkham said last week in Coffs Harbour: "Now I have 20-20 vision and it has made a world of difference. Before, when I was at one end of the field, the other end was very cloudy. I had difficulty seeing the uprights."
