Larsson is again the main strike force

UEFA CUP/ Celtic v Barcelona Celtic Park (8.0, TG4): Celtic will rely heavily on Swedish striker Henrik Larsson in tonight's UEFA Cup fourth round first leg match against Barcelona after Chris Sutton was ruled out with an ankle injury.

Larsson is the Glasgow side's only recognised striker for the visit of the Spanish side after manager Martin O'Neill said Sutton was unfit.

Fellow strikers John Hartson and Shaun Maloney are already out for the rest of the season and Sutton's absence is another unwanted problem for the unbeaten Scottish premier league leaders.

"It's a massive blow and we will miss him going into a game like this," said O'Neill, who plans to play young striker Craig Beattie at some stage of the match.

"We're all disappointed and none more so than Chris himself but he'll have the problem looked at by experts on Friday."

Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard said he still expected last year's beaten finalists to provide a stern test.

"I already knew about the atmosphere over here because Celtic are one of the most famous clubs in Europe and all over the world," said the Dutchman.

"We always see their derby with Rangers and it has something special about it with their history and great tradition. I already knew that it was going to be hard for any opponent but that's a good thing for any sportsman and this is the kind of match that any player would like to play in."

Local media reports have linked Barcelona with a move for Larsson when his contract runs out at the end of the season and Rijkaard says the former Feyenoord player poses a big threat to his side's hopes of progressing in the tournament.

"I know Henrik Larsson personally and I have met him more than once because he played in Holland. He's a great professional and I think he is still in top shape," said Rijkaard, who is without the injured Giovanni van Bronkhorst and Patrick Kluivert.

Barcelona, led by Brazilian striker Ronaldinho, have moved up to fourth in the Spanish league after winning their last seven games. Celtic are defending a 73-match unbeaten run at Celtic Park - they last lost there in August 2001 to Ajax Amsterdam
