The Jim Bolger-trained filly has thrived since being upped to middle distances and is now ranked 20lb higher than when she won over a mile and a quarter at the Curragh last month.

The Carlow trainer had five winners at the Galway track last year but has drawn a blank so far this week. Last year's winner, Grinkov, could go close again if recovered from yesterday's hurdle, and the Curragh winner Mist Of Magic could also go well if patiently ridden; but Last Theatre looks the pick.

Beat The Heat was badly hampered when third to Ice Dancer in May and looks good for a winning reappearance in the three-year-old maiden. Ice Dancer was a good maiden winner at the time, before he started pace-making duties for Galileo, and Beat The Heat looks a bet to cope with the Curragh fourth Red Bartsia and the Oxx newcomer Dibiya.

Naahil short-headed Alassio on his last start, but it was 10 lengths back to the third, Daqtora, who subsequently won at Killarney. That could be good enough form for the mile handicap, where the veteran Markskeepingfaith will bid for a third successive win in the race.

Cool Ballerina brings a Leopardstown sixth of eight to Beau Cheval to the seven furlong maiden, but there should be improvement and the opposition is hardly the strongest.

Dermot Weld also runs the previous course winner Sage Dancer in the last, but if the John Oxx-trained First Son can last out a trip which is half a mile further than anything he has travelled before, he could prevail.

Alan Crowe missed out on Grimes in yesterday's big race, but could get some compensation if Deckie can score in the opening amateur hurdle. The Roche won a good Tipperary bumper last time.
