NFL DIVISION TWO: Donegal 2-11 Sligo 1-14:THERE WERE contrasting reactions in the Donegal and Sligo camps after Saturday night's league game in Ballybofey.

The home side led 0-5 to 0-3 after 23 minutes, but by half-time trailed 0-8 to 0-6 thanks to a purple patch from Sligo’s Adrian Marron. Donegal were also down to 14 men after corner back Kevin Mulhern saw yellow for the second time minutes from the break.

When David Kelly scored a goal within two minutes of the restart, Sligo were looking good and, by the 47th minute, they led by eight points. But Donegal threw caution to the wind and launched high to Michael Murphy and the new captain began to exert an influence. Leo McLoone had an inspirational point before Conor Davey handed Murphy a penalty when touching the ball on the ground and Donegal were back in the game.

A late second goal from Neil McGee levelled the game and in added time Tony Taylor and Stephen Griffin exchanged points as Donegal got out of jail.
