De La Salle - 0 St Eunan's - 3 Two late goals helped St Eunan's College, Letterkenny, to capture the FAIS Senior Schools title for the first time in 18 years as they beat De La Salle, Waterford, in a highly entertaining final at Belfield yesterday.

Having led the game through a headed goal from Fintan Bonner on 32 minutes, the Donegal school struck twice in the final 10 minutes to see off the challenge of their battling opponents.

In the 79th minute they were awarded a penalty after goalkeeper David Dennison was adjudged to have taken down Lorcan Keeney, and Kieran Harte confidently fired home from the penalty spot.

Within 90 seconds, the Donegal side had added a third as Jason Burke burst into the box to bury the ball in the bottom corner.
