Camogie National League:Galway's Ann Marie Hayes had a busy afternoon yesterday in Ballinasloe, but the day ended with mixed results.

Hayes was impressive for the B side who accounted for Kilkenny by 1-14 to 2-3, before playing the full 60 minutes in the A match - however, Kilkenny ran out five-point winners in that encounter.

Kilkenny were certainly a hungry side in what was a goal fest as they finished 5-5 to 2-9 winners, with Jackie Frisby (2) and Lizzie Lyng getting the opening-half goals for the Cats while Hayes and Veronica Curtin were firmly on song for Galway.

Goals from Marie Dargan and Ann Dalton after the break for Kilkenny ensured victory for the visitors.
