Bohemians 1 Galway Utd 1:Considering the possession they enjoyed Bohemians could have taken full points. The fact they didn't is utterly their own fault.
Galway scored early and zealously protected that lead but rarely, if ever, looked like doubling their advantage. They were there for the taking but Bohemians declined the invitation.
Not for the first time this season, some Bohemians supporters booed their players.
Having looked promising initially, their approach quickly fizzled out and, notwithstanding a surge at the death, even the basics were poorly executed at times.
Bohemians paid for their hesitancy after 27 minutes. Alan Murphy drilled a free kick from the edge of the area under the wall, leaving goalkeeper Brian Murphy helpless.
But Bohemians improved after the break - substitute Harpal Singh injected pace and penetration. Indeed, it was his cross with 10 minutes remaining that captain Owen Heary latched onto to fire home the equaliser.
