ULSTER MFC SEMI-FINAL Tyrone1-11 Cavan 1-9: ULSTER MINOR football champions Tyrone had to come from behind with 13 men to win a riveting semi-final at Clones yesterday.

Kyle Coney shot what proved to be the winning point in the final minute and moments later became the second Tyrone player to be shown a second yellow card.

Cavan led by 0-3 to 0-2 at the end of the opening quarter, all of their scores coming from Niall McDermott. But the game turned in Tyrone's favour once Coney slotted home a penalty in the 22nd minute, after full forward Diarmuid McNulty had been hauled down by Mark Leddy.

Tyrone started to play some delightful football, and scores from Peter Harte, Niall McKenna, Paddy McNeice and Coney helped them establish a 1-6 to 0-3 lead at the break.
