Leopardstown preview: One man who will be praying that rain stays away from Leopardstown this evening is Robbie Osborne who runs Latino Magic in the Group Three Ballycorus Stakes.
Latino Magic is one of a six-strong field that includes the two English raiders Naahy and Rockets N Rollers. However, none of the six likes to hear their hooves rattle quite like the Osborne horse.
Indeed, his connections must have been cursing fate last week when Leopardstown managed to produce the only good going that has been available in the country for weeks.
It was enough for Latino Magic to only finish fourth to Abunawwas in the Kiltiernan Stakes over a mile but the drop back to seven furlongs tonight will not be a problem - if the going stays quick.
The possibility of showers is forecast but if they stay away then the former Ruby Stakes winner at Tralee should go well at a decent price.
Avorado is the top rated at 109 but the dark horse could be Hamairi who won at odds of 1 to 6 at Tipperary last time out and is clearly on the improve.
Only four line up for the Rochestown Stakes but they include runners from the Bolger, Weld and O'Brien yards.
The latter is represented by Joyce who followed up a maiden success by finishing last in the Marble Hill.
However, he was only beaten five lengths by his stable companion Russian Blue and Joyce could be better suited to quick going than the others.
O'Brien reintroduces both Cobra and Tycoon in the Listed Silver Stakes where the smart four-year-old Napper Tandy tops the lists on a 109 rating.
At first glance Medicinal's breeding is not suited to fast ground but the Dermot Weld runner won his maiden on good to firm and wasn't beaten far behind Yeats and Relaxed Gesture in the Derrinstown Derby Trial.
Weld could also have the winning of the mile and a half maiden with Genuine Charm. This one started favourite to win on her Naas debut but could only manange third to Queen Of Palms. The experience, however, can prove crucial.
