RUGBY:COURTNEY LAWES has declared himself available for England's game with Scotland on Sunday after completing 80 minutes for the first time in two months yesterday.

The 22-year-old lock played all of Northampton’s defeat at Exeter, proving his fitness after a lengthy absence with a knee injury.

That problem forced him out of the reckoning for the start of England’s so far perfect campaign, but he is still hoping to make an impact at the back end of the tournament.

Team manager Martin Johnson may be looking for reinforcements in the pack, with Simon Shaw struggling with a groin strain, and Lawes is ready to answer any calls.

“If he (Johnson) wants me, I’m ready. There’s no doubts, the knee is sweet. I thought I had a pretty good game (against Exeter), carried okay. I do feel like I am back up to speed. I am a bit tired, but I feel good.”

South African World Cup winner Bakkies Botha has agreed a deal to sign for Toulon, the French Top 14 club have confirmed. The 32-year-old is reported to have agreed a three-year deal to move to France after the World Cup in New Zealand in September and October.
