National Football League/Division 2A:Laois  0-10, Tipperary  1-7:An injury time point from Michael Lawlor gave Laois a share of the spoils in a hard fought encounter at Portarlington.

The visitors, with the aid of a strong breeze, looked the more impressive side in the opening half and had two points on the board before Brian McDonald opened the home side's account.

Laois drew level and went ahead with a Greg Ramsbottom point after 20 mins.

A defensive lapse 10 minutes before half-time by Laois allowed Benny Hickey to score the games only goal; but Ian Fitzgerald levelled and at half time, the scoreboard read Laois 0-6, Tipperary 1-3.
