MANAGER BRENDAN Rodgers is set to make changes as Liverpool begin their League Cup defence at West Brom tonight.
Defenders Martin Kelly and Daniel Agger (both knee) were injured in Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United and have been ruled out – the former for several months – while forward Fabio Borini is unlikely to be risked after sustaining an ankle problem.
Brad Jones will replace Jose Reina in goal while some other fringe players will be given a chance.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will hand some of his fringe players the chance to impress in their tie against Coventry. Theo Walcott, Andre Santos, Johan Djourou, Andrey Arshavin and Francis Coquelin are all in contention to start
Tottenham will make a number of changes from the team that beat QPR for the game at Carlisle. Tom Huddlestone, Michael Dawson, Steven Caulker and Andros Townsend are likely to make their first starts of the season.
Norwich manager Chris Hughton will hand new signings goalkeeper Mark Bunn, midfielders Alexander Tettey and Jacob Butterfield and on-loan striker Harry Kane the chance to impress against Doncaster.
Defender Anton Ferdinand will miss QPR’s game against Reading due to a hamstring injury.
