BOXING: Irish middleweight Andy Lee has backed stablemate Vladimir Klitschko to land the vacant IBO World heavyweight title against Chris Byrd in Germany next Saturday.
Ukrainian Klitschko clashes with Byrd at the Sap Arena in Mannheim and according to Lee, "Dr Steelhammer" has the prescription to beat the American.
Klitschko and Lee, who meets Turk Burhan Aykuk on the undercard, have set up camp in Heidelberg ahead of Saturday's promotion.
Lee said, "I have been training with Vladimir for the last four weeks and he is looking very sharp and focused and I would be confident he will beat Byrd."
Meanwhile, lightweight Andrew Murray and lightmiddleweight James Moore have been added to the bill for the June 3rd professional promotion at the National Stadium in Dublin.
