Poor old Paul Merson, life has been a bit stressful for him recently, not least the time he bet £10,000 on Ronnie O'Sullivan winning a snooker match. It seems right-handed Ronnie wasn't taking the match quite as seriously as our Paul and proceeded to play left-handed. "Imagine if all the Aston Villa players decided to go out for a match using only their left feet - there would be an outcry," a horrified Paul was quoted as saying, in extracts from his autobiography, serialised in the Sun last week. Aston Villa players playing only with their left feet? Perish the thought.
