The squad for the interprovincial hockey championship at Serpentine Avenue next weekend was confirmed yesterday as being the same as that which tuned up with three wins in Germany last month, with Paudie Carley as the 17th man.

Avoca, the Irish Senior Cup winners, have six representatives in the side.

It remains to be seen if there will be an Ulster backlash against the title holders, though two of Lisnagarvey's international figures, Jimmy Kirkwood and Alan Dowd, have retired from the representative scene.
