UNLIKE LAST year, Leinster have no contingency plans in place for any kind of reception on Sunday or Monday should they retain the Heineken Cup against Ulster at Twickenham tomorrow.

The squad had a relatively-poorly attended homecoming presentation in the RDS the day after their epic comeback win over Northampton in Cardiff a year ago, perhaps because many of their fans were still making their way home, but even in the event of them winning tomorrow, there will be no homecoming party on Sunday.

This is partly because last season Leinster were due to play Munster in the league final at Thomond Park a week later, and so they would not have had another opportunity to display the Heineken Cup to their loyal supporters.

This season, by comparison, Leinster have earned a home RaboDirect Pro 12 final against the Ospreys at the RDS on Sunday week, affording them an opportunity to present the Cup should they win it.

For their part, opponents Ulster will be playing their final game of the season at Twickenham tomorrow regardless of the outcome, and to afford the tens of thousands of supporters that are expected to make the trip to London every opportunity to return home in time, win or lose the northern province will have a reception in Stormont on Monday evening.
