Interprovincial Football Championship / Leinster 1-14 Connacht 3-7: A point from Kildare's John Doyle in the fourth minute of injury time earned Leinster victory over Connacht in the M Donnelly Interprovincial Football semi-final before a sizeable attendance at Parnell Park on Saturday.

Leinster looked in a strong position at the interval as they led by 0-9 to 0-3. With the exception of Graham Geraghty, all six forwards made their mark in the first half. Connacht, in contrast, were struggling for scores and by half-time boss John O'Mahony had already replaced two of his forwards.

But despite a goal from Geraghty, Connacht dominated after the break, Alan Kerins (twice) and James Nallen both finding the net.

Doyle's introduction, however, turned things around for the home side and following scores from Jason Sherlock and Ciarán Whelan, the Kildare forward landed the winning point.
