Schools Rugby Interprovincial Championship/Munster - 12 Leinster - 35: Impressive Leinster ended Munster's hopes of retaining the Schools Interprovincial crown when scoring a deserved victory over the 2003 champions at Thomond Park yesterday.

Leinster laid the foundation for this win in the opening 22 minutes when they hit the home side for three unanswered tries.

Talented centre Luke Fitzgerald, back row forward Brian Coyle and winger Vasya Artemiev all touched down to help the visitors into a 19-0 lead.

Munster did hit back with tries from winger Cian Aherne and scrumhalf Paul Rowley to reduce the visitors' lead to 22-12 at the break.

Leinster scored their fourth try of the game within four minutes of the restart through number eight Darren O'Reilly. A Brian Collins penalty goal 11 minutes from full-time made the win safe for Leinster.

The home side failed to score in the second half while Leinster completed their tally with a smashing drop goal from outhalf Andrew Comiskey. Leinster now face Ulster next week with the winners securing the title.
