A last ditch equaliser by substitute Adekanmi Olufade allowed Lille to grab a 1-1 draw at home against Deportivo Coruna in a Champions League Group G match yesterday evening.

Juan Carlos Valeron outpaced a clumsy Lille defence to open the scoring in the 49th minute and Deportivo looked set for a reasonably comfortable win.

But the French side, who had missed a host of chances earlier in the match, gave it their all in the last 10 minutes and were rewarded when Togo international Olufade netted after a neat interchange of passes with Dagui Bakari.

Porto drew 0-0 with Juventus in a lacklustre Champions League Group E tie last night which saw both sides betting on counter-attacks while playing safe in midfield.

Porto missed several chances to end the goal drought in the first half, most notably after 25 minutes when Jorge Andrade blasted the ball inside the box from a corner kick, but saw the ball cleared off the Juventus line in a goalmouth scramble.

Nuno Capucho nervously hesitated and shot the ball wide of the far post when he found himself unmarked in the sixth minute with only Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to beat after a typical solo effort down the right flank.

Porto were dangerously exposed at the back when Ovchinnikov ran out of the penalty area and failed to block a long forward pass to unmarked Chilean forward Marcelo Salas, which was only intercepted after a quick run by Andrade.

Brazilian striker Elber came to the rescue of injury-hit Bayern Munich with two goals as the Champions League holders drew 2-2 at Feyenoord in group H.

Elber put the Germans ahead in the 12th minute. After Feyenoord had recovered to lead 2-1, the Brazilian struck again early in the second half to save Bayern, who were missing three key players.

Sparta Prague scored a well-deserved 2-0 win home over Spartak Moscow with second half goals from Marek Kincl and Libor Sionko separating the teams in their Group H match.

Sparta remain the only team of the 16 in action this week yet to concede a goal in the competition and with Bayern Munich drawing with Feyenoord they are now two points clear of the defending champions at the top of the group.

Two late goals from Patrick Kluivert and Rivaldo handed Barcelona a 2-0 win over lively French opponents Lyon in their Group F Champions League meeting last night.

And Bayer Leverkusen maintained their 100 per cent record in the first stage of the Champions League when a second-half goal from Michael Ballack gave them a 2-1 victory over 10-man Fenerbahce. It was the third straight defeat for the Turkish side, who scored their first goal of the campaign after six minute.
