MUNSTER MFC FIRST ROUND/Limerick 3-10 Waterford 2-4:LIMERICK BUILT on a great start to cruise into the next round in Kilmallock last night. A goal inside two minutes by Danny Frewen had Limerick on their way and when Brian Noonan had a second goal after 10 minutes it put the home side in front by 2-3 to 0-0.
Limerick went on to lead 2-6 to 1-2 at the interval, with full forward Eoin Walsh getting the Waterford goal.
Limerick kept up the pressure on the resumption and a goal by Pat O’Donnell killed off the game.
Such was the Limerick dominance that corner back Shane Reynolds was able to move forward to score a point.
Waterford introduced Cormac Condon for Éanna Ó Ceallaigh late on and Condon got their second goal but it made no real difference.
