First Division Limerick FC's excellent form - just one defeat in 12 games - continued as they moved into joint third place in the First Division table after they came from behind to beat St Francis 2-1 at John Hyland Park, Baldonnel yesterday.

Limerick weren't in the match at all until St Francis went ahead in the 57th minute through a Ciaran Duffy goal.

Limerick, though, were level within four minutes with a delightfully worked goal. Sean Byrne broke forward from midfield, Jason O'Connor then took the ball on, played a one-two with Gareth Ryan, before shooting under St Francis goalkeeper, Mark Clohessy.

Limerick's second came eight minutes from time when Gareth Ryan got on the end of a Declan Casey cross to blast home the winner at the back post.
