Lismore 1-22 Ballyduff Upper 2-12:LISMORE EARNED the right to meet Ballygunner in the Waterford final on Sunday week after a win over Ballyduff at Fraher Field yesterday. Ballyduff really put it up to Lismore in the opening half and thanks to a Brendan Hannon goal and four pointed frees from goalkeeper Adrian Power they were level at the break, 1-9 to 0-12.
Lismore thundered into the ascendancy after the break and quick points from Dan Shanahan and brother Maurice put daylight between the sides. Then a huge free from former county goalkeeper Brendan Landers was collected by Dan Shanahan, who placed minor star Pádraig Prendergast for a goal to make the score 1-16 to 1-10 after 40 minutes.
A Seán Cunningham goal reduced the deficit for Ballyduff but further scores from Maurice Shanahan and Stephen O’Keeffe eased Lismore into the final.
