Round-up: World champions Italy stumbled out of the blocks at the start of the race to the Euro 2008 finals when they were held 1-1 by Lithuania in Naples on Saturday.

Lithuania's Tomas Danilevicius scored the opener. Italy equalised through Filippo Inzaghi.

Italy now go to Paris for Wednesday's encounter with France, less than two months after their victory over the French in the World Cup final.

France crushed Georgia 3-0 in Tbilisi. Florent Malouda and Louis Saha grabbed the early goals and the visitors made it 3-0 when Thierry Henry was credited with the goal which was directed into his own net by Georgia's Malkhaz Asatiani.

There were also opening wins for The Netherlands who squeezed a 1-0 win over Luxembourg, and Spain, who beat Liechtenstein 4-0.

European champions Greece opened their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win in Moldova thanks to a goal from Nikos Liberopoulos.
